Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has rejected an attempt to link Pakistan to state terrorism in India.
Anwar made the remarks during an interview with Indian media while attending the BRICS summit in India.
During the interview, the host referred to the Pahalgam incident and sought Anwar’s view on allegations against Pakistan.
However, the Malaysian prime minister did not endorse the claim.
Malaysia Says Its Intelligence Has No Such Report
Anwar said he could discuss facts provided by state institutions in his capacity as prime minister.
He added that Malaysian intelligence agencies had never issued a report proving Pakistan’s involvement in state terrorism in India.
Anwar’s comments came as India and Pakistan continue to face tensions over security and terrorism-related allegations.
Anwar Condemns Israeli Actions in Palestine
During the interview, Anwar also strongly condemned Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory.
He criticized the ongoing bombing of civilians in Palestine and expressed concern over the suffering of unarmed people.
Malaysia has repeatedly called for greater international action to protect Palestinians and support their rights.
