Saudi Arabia and Djibouti signed a mutual visa exemption agreement on Monday for holders of diplomatic and special passports.
The agreement covers the governments of both countries and aims to make official travel easier for eligible passport holders.
Saudi Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs Ambassador Abdulmajeed Al-Smari signed the agreement on behalf of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah.
Djibouti’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dya-Eddine Bamakhrama signed the agreement for his country.
Agreement to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
The agreement reflects the strong relations between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti.
It is also expected to improve coordination between the two countries. In addition, it will support wider cooperation across several fields.
The visa exemption marks another step in efforts to strengthen official ties and joint cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti.
