ISLAMABAD — Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has urged Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia not to share images, videos or unverified reports about drone and missile attacks on social media.

Ashrafi also called on the Pakistani community to follow Saudi laws and instructions from the Ministry of Interior during the current sensitive situation.

Appeal to Avoid Sensitive Images and Videos

Ashrafi serves as Secretary-General of the International Council for the Honor of the Two Holy Mosques. He also coordinates with the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

He urged Pakistanis to avoid posting footage of Houthi drone and missile attacks, interception operations, debris, security facilities or other sensitive locations.

He said such material could create security concerns and spread unverified information during a tense situation.

The religious leader also asked the community not to share rumors or unconfirmed reports. He urged people to avoid comments that could violate Saudi laws or security instructions.

Rely Only on Official Sources

Ashrafi warned that irresponsible social media use could increase fear and confusion.

He advised Pakistanis to rely only on official Saudi sources and other authorized channels for information about security incidents.

The appeal comes as Saudi Arabia faces renewed security concerns linked to the conflict in Yemen and Houthi attacks.

Community Leaders Asked to Support Saudi Authorities

Ashrafi also appealed to Pakistani religious scholars, community leaders and social organizations in Saudi Arabia.

He asked them to communicate the message to the Pakistani community. He also urged them to cooperate fully with Saudi authorities on matters related to peace and security.

Ashrafi described Saudi Arabia as a brotherly country and the land of the Two Holy Mosques.

He said respecting Saudi laws and supporting security measures remains an important responsibility for Pakistanis living in the kingdom.
