Tokyo – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan, Abdul Hamid, met with Dr. Akihiko Tanaka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), at the agency’s headquarters in Tokyo to discuss expanding development cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the long-standing development partnership between Pakistan and Japan and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across a range of priority sectors.
The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in infrastructure development, climate change resilience, human resource development, digital transformation, and other key areas that support sustainable economic growth.
Ambassador Abdul Hamid and Dr. Tanaka also exchanged views on ongoing and future development projects aimed at promoting sustainable economic development, climate adaptation, digital innovation, and public welfare in Pakistan.
Both leaders agreed to deepen cooperation between Pakistan and JICA by advancing projects that contribute to shared development objectives and long-term economic prosperity.
