LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has announced the restoration of two train services.
The decision came on the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Mohenjo Daro Express will resume its service on September 15.
The train between Sialkot and Rawalpindi will restart on October 15.
Railway Administration Gets New Instructions
Hanif Abbasi said Pakistan Railways has started preparations to restore both trains.
He directed the railway administration to complete all necessary arrangements.
The minister said the government will restore other suspended trains in phases.
He added that the restoration will improve rail services for passengers.
ML-1 Project Nears Launch
Hanif Abbasi also spoke about the ML-1 project.
He said work on the project has reached its final stage.
The government plans to start the project in January.
The minister said ML-1 will bring major changes to Pakistan Railways.
He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is regularly reviewing the project.
According to Hanif Abbasi, the government will work to meet the prime minister’s expectations.
