TEHRAN: The military confrontation between the United States and Iran continued to escalate as U.S. forces reportedly carried out airstrikes across multiple locations in Iran for the ninth consecutive night, while Tehran announced fresh missile launches and claimed additional military operations across the region.
According to reports, the latest U.S. strikes targeted locations in Tabriz, Chabahar, Sirik, Hormozgan Province, Bushehr, and Konarak. Authorities have not yet released verified information regarding casualties or the extent of the damage.
In response, Iranian officials announced that additional missiles had been launched toward what they described as hostile targets. However, no independent confirmation has been provided regarding the claimed strikes or their impact.
Meanwhile, Kuwait stated that its air defense systems intercepted aerial threats approaching its airspace, although officials did not immediately disclose further operational details.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also reported that a vessel caught fire near Kumzar, Oman. The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and authorities have not confirmed whether it was linked to the ongoing regional conflict.
