MASTUNG, Pakistan,: A Session Judge and his security guard were killed, while an Additional Session Judge and another individual sustained serious injuries after unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in the Wali Khan area of Mastung, Balochistan.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Allah Bakhsh Baloch, the attack targeted the vehicle carrying judicial officials as they were traveling from Quetta to the Session Court in Mastung.
The deceased were identified as Session Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar and his security guard. Additional Session Judge Tariq Lashari was among the two people who suffered serious injuries in the attack.
Police said the assailants fled the scene after the shooting. Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace those responsible.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were also transported for legal formalities.
