GAZA, — Hamas has accused Israel of deliberately intensifying its military campaign in the Gaza Strip in an effort to derail ongoing ceasefire implementation and undermine mediation efforts.

In a statement, the Palestinian group said the recent escalation in Israeli airstrikes was intended to obstruct understandings reached through international mediators and prevent the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

According to Hamas, the increased military operations are aimed at creating new obstacles to diplomatic efforts rather than advancing a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

“Hamas believes the deliberate escalation of Israeli attacks is designed to prevent the ceasefire agreement from being fully implemented,” the group said.

Hamas urged regional and international mediators to take immediate action and increase pressure on Israel to halt what it described as continued violations and attacks against civilians in Gaza.

The group called on mediators to intensify diplomatic efforts to stop the violence and preserve the framework of the ceasefire negotiations.

According to Palestinian health officials, at least 19 Palestinians were Martyr in Israeli airstrikes carried out on Saturday across different parts of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military has previously stated that its operations target Hamas militants and military infrastructure, while Hamas maintains that the attacks are preventing progress toward a lasting ceasefire.

Efforts led by international mediators to secure a durable ceasefire and broader political agreement remain ongoing amid continued violence in the enclave.
