JEDDAH, — Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Thursday for an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Senior Saudi and Pakistani officials welcomed the prime minister upon his arrival. The reception was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, and other senior diplomatic officials.
Meeting with Saudi Crown Prince
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The leaders are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They will also exchange views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
Religious Visit Included
Besides official engagements, the prime minister will perform Umrah during his visit. He is also scheduled to visit Masjid-e-Nabawi in Madinah and pay his respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).

A high-level Pakistani delegation is accompanying the prime minister on the visit.

The visit reflects the close political, economic, and strategic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and is expected to reinforce cooperation across multiple sectors.
