Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged the United States to change its approach toward Iran, warning that pressure and coercion could make it harder to implement the Islamabad agreement.
Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, in Tehran on Monday evening.
Pezeshkian Praises Pakistan’s Mediation
The Iranian president thanked Pakistan for its diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and security.
He expressed hope that continued cooperation and determination would help achieve the goals outlined in the Islamabad agreement.
Pezeshkian also called on the United States to honor its commitments to Iran while respecting what Tehran considers its legitimate rights and international norms.

“The United States must change its tone and approach in dealing with Iran,” Pezeshkian said.
He warned that reliance on pressure and coercion would complicate the implementation process.

He argued that stronger cooperation could help counter threats and prevent hostile forces from advancing their objectives.
Munir Reaffirms Pakistan’s Mediation Role
During the meeting, Munir thanked Pezeshkian for his efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
