Shehbaz Sharif Meets Qatar’s Sheikh Naif Al Thani on Investment

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani, Chairman of Retaj Group and Tamim Holding, in Islamabad.

The meeting focused on Pakistan-Qatar relations and investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik, Prime Minister’s Adviser Haroon Akhtar, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi also attended the meeting. Senior officials were present as well.

PM Shehbaz Welcomes Qatari Delegation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Qatari delegation. He said Pakistan and Qatar share strong and long-standing fraternal ties.

The prime minister also recalled his recent visit to Qatar. He had travelled there to offer condolences following the death of the Emir’s father.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan looks forward to welcoming Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on a visit to Pakistan.

Qatar Shows Interest in Investment

During the meeting, the Qatari delegation thanked the Pakistani side for its warm hospitality.

The delegation also expressed strong interest in increasing investment in Pakistan.

The meeting highlighted the growing economic ties between Pakistan and Qatar. Both sides also discussed the importance of closer cooperation in the investment sector.
