Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has strongly condemned the recent attack on Pakistani security personnel in Balochistan.
Ashrafi also serves as coordinator of the National Message of Peace Committee. In a statement on Friday, he said the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and security institutions would ultimately help create lasting peace and stability in the country.
He said the armed forces, police and other security agencies continue to protect the nation, its people and Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
According to Ashrafi, security personnel are performing their duties in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country despite serious challenges.
Ashrafi Highlights Islamic Teachings
Ashrafi said Islam considers the protection of a country’s borders and the lives and property of its people a major responsibility.
He added that those who perform this duty deserve respect and appreciation.
While condemning the deaths of security personnel in Balochistan, Ashrafi also alleged that the attackers desecrated and burned the bodies of some victims.
He described such acts as a serious violation of human dignity and Islamic values.
Ashrafi said Islam strictly prohibits the desecration of human remains, even during war. He also referred to an account in the Quran to highlight the importance of respecting human life and preserving human dignity after death.
Ashrafi Rejects Terrorism in the Name of Islam
Ashrafi said those involved in such violence have no connection with Islam or humanity.
He also said they do not represent the people of Balochistan or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Ashrafi, such elements are being used by forces seeking to destabilize Pakistan.
He referred to what he called the “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna-e-Hind” and accused violent groups of previously targeting mosques, civilians, the Pakistan Army and other security institutions.
Security Forces Have Made Major Sacrifices
The Pakistan Ulema Council chairman said the country’s security institutions have made major sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

He said security personnel would continue protecting Pakistan despite the challenges they face.
Ashrafi also claimed that recent developments have highlighted Pakistan’s growing international standing. He linked the latest security situation to what he described as increased efforts by hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan.
Ashrafi Calls for National Unity
Ashrafi expressed confidence that efforts against Pakistan would fail.
He said the blood of those killed in the line of duty would not go to waste. He also said the Pakistani nation remains united against terrorism and extremism.
Furthermore, Ashrafi expressed hope that peace and stability would strengthen across the country. He said Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should continue moving toward development and prosperity.
Call for Cooperation Against Terrorism
Ashrafi also warned against what he described as forces supporting terrorism and instability in Pakistan. He specifically mentioned supporters of what he called the “Greater Israel” plan and their Indian allies.
