Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has invited applications from Pakistani pilgrims who wish to attend the annual Urs of Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA) in New Delhi, India.
Amir Khusro has many devotees in Pakistan. For them, visiting his shrine is a spiritual honor. The annual Urs also attracts pilgrims from across the region.
The ministry has made the India Ziaraat application form available on its official website. Applicants can complete the form and submit it to the Section Officer (Ziarat) by September 25, 2026.
Balloting May Be Held
If the number of applications exceeds the available quota, the ministry will select pilgrims through a ballot.
The ballot is scheduled for October 23, 2026, if required. Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs normally uses this process when applications exceed the number of available places.
The ministry’s official information lists 200 Pakistani pilgrims for the Amir Khusro Urs under the existing arrangements for religious visits to India.
Urs Scheduled for March 2027
The annual Urs of Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA) is tentatively scheduled to take place in New Delhi from March 22 to March 29, 2027.
However, the final opening date will be announced after confirmation from the Pakistan High Commission in India.

Pakistan has arrangements with India for visits by Pakistani pilgrims to the Urs of several prominent Muslim saints. The Ministry of Religious Affairs manages these visits under the 1974 bilateral protocol.
