ABU DHABI — The Pakistan Pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) 2026 was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Shafqat Ali Khan, at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Representatives of Pakistan’s publishing and literary community attended the ceremony.
They included Murad Ali Mohmand, Director Headquarters of the National Book Foundation (NBF) Pakistan; Amar Shahid, Director of Book Corner Pakistan; and Sarmad Khan, Co-Founder of Urdu Books World.
Pavilion Highlights Pakistan’s Literary Heritage
The Pakistan Pavilion presents a wide range of books and publications.
The collection reflects Pakistan’s literary, educational, cultural and intellectual heritage.
More Read
It includes publications from the National Book Foundation, Book Corner Pakistan and other leading Pakistani publishers.
Visitors can find books in Urdu and English.
The collection covers literature, children’s books, education, history and culture. It also includes religion, poetry, fiction, biographies and contemporary works.
Ambassador Reviews Pavilion
After the inauguration, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan toured the pavilion.
He also met the participating publishers and discussed their work.
The ambassador praised their efforts to promote Pakistani literature abroad.
He also reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for Pakistan’s literary and cultural presence in the UAE.
Pakistan, UAE Discuss Cultural Cooperation
Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan also met H.E. Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC).
The ALC is the organising body of the book fair.
The two sides discussed ways to expand Pakistan-UAE cooperation.
Their discussion covered literature, publishing, translation, education and cultural exchange.
The ambassador praised the ALC for bringing publishers, authors and cultural institutions from around the world together through the annual book fair.
Pakistan Pavilion Open Until September 18
The Pakistan Pavilion is located in Hall 5, Stand 5E24 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.
It will remain open from September 13 to 18, 2026.
Visitors can explore the pavilion daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The pavilion offers visitors an opportunity to discover Pakistan’s literary and publishing landscape.
