ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will lead the Pakistani delegation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting, scheduled to be held on July 23–24 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, at the invitation of Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubayev.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, the high-level meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of all SCO member states, including Pakistan, China, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The Council of Foreign Ministers is the third-highest decision-making body of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and serves as a key platform for reviewing the organization’s agenda on international affairs, regional cooperation, and the foreign and security policies of member states.
During the meeting, participating ministers are expected to discuss regional and global developments, strengthen multilateral cooperation, and advance the SCO’s objectives of promoting peace, stability, connectivity, and sustainable development across the region.
During his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is also scheduled to meet the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, he will hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various SCO member countries on the sidelines of the ministerial gathering.

The meetings are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations, expanding economic and regional cooperation, and addressing key international and regional issues of mutual interest.
