Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies have killed at least 58 militants during multiple counterterrorism operations in Balochistan after a series of coordinated attacks overnight, according to official security sources.

The sources said militants linked to Fitna-ul-Hindustan carried out attacks at several locations across the province late last night, targeting security installations and civilians. As a result of the assaults, 10 members of the security forces and police were martyred.

In a separate incident in the coastal city of Gwadar, the attackers targeted a family of Baloch laborers, killing five civilians, including one woman and three children, security officials said.

Following the attacks, security forces launched immediate and large-scale response operations across affected areas. According to security sources, all planned militant assaults were successfully thwarted, and several hideouts were neutralized during the ensuing operations.

Officials confirmed that two major counterterrorism operations were conducted in Balochistan, during which 51 militants affiliated with Fitna-ul-Kharij were killed. Additional casualties among militant groups are also being reported as clearance operations continue in remote and urban locations.

Security agencies said pursuit and search operations remain ongoing to track down remaining militants who may have fled the initial engagements. Authorities have heightened security across the province, particularly in sensitive areas and along key routes.

Pakistan’s security establishment has reiterated its commitment to eliminating militant networks operating in Balochistan and ensuring the safety of civilians and infrastructure. Officials said further details would be shared once operations are completed and assessments finalized.
