Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, has termed the ongoing peace talks in Islamabad as a matter of national pride, emphasizing the constructive role played by Pakistan’s leadership in facilitating dialogue.

In his official statement, Ashrafi highlighted that the process began with a ceasefire, paving the way for formal negotiations. He remarked that while outcomes ultimately depend on divine will, consistent human effort remains essential in achieving peace and stability.

He further stated that the initiation of dialogue in Islamabad marks a significant diplomatic opening, expressing hope that the process will continue and yield positive results. He urged citizens to remain thankful and to pray for long-term success.

Ashrafi also announced that the World Message of Islam Conference has been rescheduled to April 20. The conference is expected to bring together prominent religious scholars from multiple countries, including Palestine, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, to discuss unity, peace, and the global message of Islam.
