Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday praised the country’s security forces for successfully thwarting militant operations in several parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Nushki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar.
In a statement, the prime minister paid tribute to security personnel who lost their lives during the counterterrorism operations and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks. He also expressed condolences to the bereaved families, calling for patience and strength for those affected.
“The entire nation, including myself, takes pride in our martyrs,” Sharif said, adding that officers and soldiers of the security forces remain fully committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism, stating that operations would persist until militancy is completely eliminated. He stressed that the nation stands firmly behind the armed forces in their efforts to protect the country.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also strongly condemned the militant attacks in Balochistan and lauded the security forces and law enforcement agencies for their swift and effective response.
Naqvi said timely action by Pakistan’s security personnel prevented further loss of life and neutralized the attackers. He praised the forces for frustrating what he described as hostile designs aimed at destabilizing the country.
Paying tribute to the fallen soldiers, the interior minister said their sacrifices would not be forgotten and described them as national heroes. He added that the courage and dedication of Pakistan’s security forces continue to serve as a source of pride for the nation.
Both leaders reiterated that Pakistan remains determined to counter all threats to its security and stability, emphasizing that efforts against militancy will continue with full national resolve.
